Ready for some instant nail art? Sally Hansen‘s latest collection of Fuzzy Coat polishes follow the uber popular textured nail trend and feature an assortment of shades perfect for what’s left of the summer season. Each one gives the effect of textural woven fabrics. Take a peek:
The awesome texture and color combinations create fun and fashion-forward looks with no overwhelming techniques required. A few of these (like Tweedy) will also translate into Fall trends and a handful are classic neutrals (like Wool-lite) that would work year round. I scooped up a few of my favs earlier today (Walgreens is having a sale, y’all!) and whipped up a quick dimensional mani in minutes. (By the way,Walgreens is running another sale the week of the 18th! Two fuzzy polishes for $10. Can’t go wrong!)
My top pick of the bunch is Fuzz-Sea, a multidimensional mix of aqua and lime green. I love the fusion of the coordinated colors because it’s like my work is already done for me in the bottle!
Step 1: Apply one thin, even coat of Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Polish. Let dry.
Step 2: To really play up the texture, I patted the second layer using a tapping motion rather than sleek strokes. This will add to the dimensional effect of the polish.
Step 3: Seal with a thin, even coat.
And voila! You have a unique summery manicure that took minimal effort – no artistic ability required. Summertime and the living’s easy! Of course, you can mix it up by applying a solid base coat, adding a layer of a different fuzzy polish shade, etc. The possibilities are endless!
