My Allure Beauty Closet Top Ten

Remember that epic stash of beauty products I keep mentioning?

(I know, I know, it’s all I’ve been talking about!)

If you missed the memo – I’m referring to the goods from my once in a lifetime visit to the beauty mecca that is the Allure beauty closet.

I often joke that I need an assistant to help me get a handle on all of the products I have sent to me… but what I have is nothing compared to what I witnessed in that room.

As I mentioned before, I stopped there during a tour of the Allure offices (after my ridiculously amazing photo shoot and day of beautification) and was invited to take whatever I want.

Yes, you read that right! After a long pause and a “Wait. What? Are you sure? Anything? OMG!” moment, I dove into bin after bin of cosmetic goodness.

Here is the scoop on my top picks from the most fun beauty haul ever:

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Deep End

Aqua colored liner is perfect for summer and is so on trend right now. It’s been spotted recently rimming the peepers of stars like Taylor Swift and Kourtney Kardashian. A rich shimmering teal, Deep End adds a pop of color without being too over the top. It caught my eye immediately when I was sifting through the sea of products. Just add a swipe of this stuff on your waterline for instant glam! The tried and true Urban Decay formula will keep it in place for hours.

 

Shu Uemura Volume Maker Texturizing Powder

I am a huge fan of styling my hair with texturizing powders. Huge. There are several that I love, but none of them have an applicator I like as much as this one! The product is dispensed via brush, so no there is no annoying fallout to deal with. It’s great for creating texture and serious height – no sticky hairspray required.

 

Image Vital C Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum

Ok, I have a confession to make. This wasn’t a new discovery for me… but it was the product I was most excited to bump into in the Allure beauty closet! I’m a longtime Image serum addict and I just had to grab this off the shelf when I saw it there. It’s a pharmaceutical grade Vitamin C serum that delivers serious hydration, soothes damaged skin, and smells absolutely amazing. I use it every day!

 

Buxom Stay There Eyeshadow in Sheepdog

Use this shimmering cream on your brow bone to highlight or as a primer on your lid to make shadow colors more vibrant. It’s also the perfect shade of pearly white to pop in the inner corners of your eye for a brightening effect.

 

Gucci Guilty Intense

I’ll be honest, I have more makeup products than stars in the sky, but my fragrance wardrobe is usually pretty bare. I have a handful of go-to perfumes I wear when I’m going out, but nothing too excessive… until now! Gucci Guilty Intense is a dark floral scent with hints of amber and patchouli. It is divine – one of my new favorites for sure. Why was I not obsessed with fragrance before? This could be trouble!

 

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

This brightening botanical cream soothes, depuffs, and illuminates with the help of light diffusing minerals. It has an iridescent finish which helps brighten while the light salmon tone camouflages dark circles. I use it on my eyelids and upper cheekbones as well for a little added moisture and highlight!

CHI ARC Automatic Rotating Curler

The CHI ARC Rotating Curler has all of the awesome elements that we’re used to with CHI… plus rotating technology! It’s a one inch ceramic tool that heats in 30 seconds and is equipped with a digital temperature display. The rotating barrel eliminates wrist discomfort and facilitates easier curls! Love it.

 

MAKE UP FOR EVER Uplight Face Luminizer Gel

This particular shade is a sparkling golden pink. It creates a sparkly finish with flecks of gold – but not like a glitter gel over the top sparkle. It’s still subtle enough to look very elegant and flattering. It creates a beautiful glow even when applied underneath foundation. Dying to try the other shades and finishes!

 

Burberry Lip Glow in Nude Beige

This is seriously the perfect nude lip shade. It’s incredibly natural looking while adding some subtle plumping action. The finish is not tacky at all, just beautiful shine with a plush feel. Gorgeous!

 

Chanel No. 5

Wait, I included two fragrances in my roundup of favorite products? Who am I? Seriously though, it would be a sin to exclude this classic from my list. After my whirlwind adventure at Conde Nast headquarters, I went back to my hotel and pulled a Marilyn. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more glamorous. My Allure memories will forever smell like Chanel No. 5.
