In celebration of tonight’s Kocktails with Khloe premiere, I’m devoting this post to the best beauty advice straight from everyone’s fav Kardashian. Read on for some awesome tips from Khloe that I can totally vouch for:
Tip 1: Protect your investment.
Going blonde is expensive and requires maintenance to keep it looking beautiful, not brassy. Khloe’s secret to brightening her blonde? Shimmer Lights by Clairol Professional! I can def vouch for this toning shampoo first hand as I discovered Shimmer Lights in hair school (a million years ago) and washed out many heads of highlights with this magic purple potion. And while it’s perfect for my bottle blonde friends, you don’t have to be a blonde to use it. I like to use it to refresh my red color and enhance the cool tones when it fades into Carrot Top territory.
Tip 2: Shine on.
Khloe (and her flock of sisters) are big fans of the strobe. Khloe has many favs in the highlighter department, including the amazing, tried-and-true Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder. “Kevyn was and still is the king,” Khloe said. Amen, girl.
Tip 3: Expensive doesn’t always equal best.
Khloe loves the Sonia Kashuk Multipurpose Brush – and so do I! Use it for powder, blush, bronzer, you name it. The best part is you can pick this beauty up at Target for a fraction of the price of luxury brushes. I’ll drink to that! 😉
