My friends over at COVERGIRL know that #GirlsCan follow their dreams and turn any can’t into a can! I am a firm believer in this sentiment, so I’m overjoyed to share the news about this movement!
Through the end of November, COVERGIRL is turning can’t into can by donating $50,000 to Dress for Success. If you aren’t already familiar with this amazing cause, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life. It’s an incredible organization and I’m thrilled CG selected it for this campaign.

In the spirit of empowerment, COVERGIRL asked me to share my own #GirlsCan moment.
The one that pops into my mind immediately is my recent move to NYC! I literally dropped my life in Florida and flew my little blog and I to New York to try and make it in the big city. Why? Because I believe in myself. Because I’m determined. Because I CAN.
Trust me though, it took me a long while to get to here. I didn’t always think that way. Many times I utilize the “fake it ’til you make it” mentality. I truly believe that if you look powerful, you feel powerful. If you can trick yourself into feeling confident, you will eventually embody that confidence. So, whenever you’re feeling insecure or having a “can’t” moment, sweep on a statement eye with your COVERGIRL mascara (I’m wearing the Professional All-in-One Mascara), and apply a power lip (I’m wearing CG Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Gloss in Sizzle).
