My mom has always been supportive of my beauty adventures. She was there to lend her face when I needed practice in makeup school and her hair when I went to cosmetology school. So, of course she was the obvious choice for my model for this project with Clairol!

The product claims all proved to be true when I freshened up my Mom’s dark brown color treated hair with the Clairol Professional Classic Collection’s “Classic Sunblonde Brown” (6GN).
I selected this particular neutral golden shade because I knew it would provide the best gray coverage while warming up the tone. It was a totally seamless at home color experience that took minimal effort!
The formula created a rich chestnut brown just as I had hoped, not too drastically different from her original color, but in much healthier looking condition. The revamped color definitely has more dimension, complete gray coverage, and a beautiful glossy finish. Click here to see how I did it.
I also gave my mom a fresh makeup application to match her new hair! Her foundation, highlight and shading was all done with my favorite RCMA palette. I swept on Lorac blush in Rose, lined her lids with Salma Hayek Nuance gel eyeliner, and applied Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara. I finished the look with my trusty Ardell #53 false lashes and a fall-friendly berry lip (from Mom’s favorite Lauren Hutton Face Disc).
