I recently ventured down to the gorgeous Danny Jelaca salon on South Beach to test out the new Cezanne Perfect Finish Keratin Smoothing Treatment, an amazing new smoothing system that’s 100% free of formaldehyde.
Master stylist Meredith Texeria, the lead smoothing treatment expert in the salon, applied my treatment. She was such a delight I was instantly obsessed with both her serious hair skills and her awesome personality. Sitting in her chair is like having a bestie that just happens to know how to perform magic on your hair.
The Cezanne hair treatment isn’t a quick process, but it’s well worth it. This system makes hair smoother, straighter and frizz-free while restoring natural shine and strengthening the hair. It sounds too good to be true, but I can tell you from experience that the treatment definitely lives up to the product claims! Here’s what I looked like before:

I am SO obsessed with my results! I also love that the treatment is so effective minus all of the harmful chemicals. Instead of formaldehyde, the formula uses a proprietary blend of keratin, silk protein, botanical extracts and vitamins that actually leaves hair healthier and more manageable than before the treatment. It feels like I got a new head of hair!
Another perk is that there is no “down time” after treatment. Hair can be washed or colored immediately. (Keep in mind that coloring right before the treatment can alter your color though!) Unlike other smoothing systems, hair can also be curled with a curling iron without harming the condition of the hair. Cezanne can be used on any hair type and texture, whether the hair is colored, damaged, bleached, or highlighted.
