Best. Weekend. Ever.
When the Captain Morgan team reached out to me with an exclusive invite to join their SunFest VIP influencer program, it was not hard to convince me to participate. As a Florida born rum fan and seasoned SunFest attendee, this partnership was basically concocted just for me!
(True story: My first SunFest concert was Mya back in the Ghetto Supastar days. Been hooked on the ‘Fest ever since.)
We packed a LOT into the whirlwind weekend, so I’ll be posting highlights from the event all week. If you are offended by massive rum intake and/or pirate puns, you should probably unfollow me now. 😉
To kick off the Captain’s takeover of Martinis and Mascara, I want to share a taste of what I was drinking all weekend. Read on for recipes to three of the cocktails I fell in love with during the SunFest extravaganza. These festive libations feature the brand new and refreshingly delicious Captain Morgan flavors – Coconut, Pineapple, and Grapefruit:
Baewatch
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Pineapple Rum
1 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 slice pineapple
Instructions:
Fill tall glass with ice and pour in pineapple juice and Captain Morgan® Pineapple Rum. Top with cranberry juice and garnish with pineapple wedge.
The Shark Puncher
Ingredients:
9 oz Captain Morgan Coconut Rum
9 oz Orange Juice
3 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
6 oz Cranberry Juice
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and stir.
Palomaloha
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Captain Morgan Grapefruit Rum
Juice of ½ lime
Grapefruit soda to top
Instructions:
Fill tall glass with ice and pour in Captain Morgan® Grapefruit Rum, lime juice and grapefruit soda. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.
