Obsession of the Day: FFF Spring Box

As you all know, I’m a fan of the FabFitFun VIP Box. It’s kind of a big deal. And I swear each season it keeps getting better and better!

For those of you who missed the memo on the awesomeness that is the #FFFVIP box, I will catch you up. (But seriously, where have you been? It’s all I talk about!)

The FabFitFun VIP Box is packed with full-size premium products (curated by Giuliana Rancic and her amazing team of lifestyle gurus) delivered seasonally to your doorstep. (For additional information, see my previous gushfests here.)

My spring box actually arrived last week right before I flew out to California. While I was in sunny Los Angeles, I stopped by to visit all of my friends at FabFitFun headquarters and see where all the magic happens! I am so thrilled that I was able to fit that into my quick trip to Cali for LuckyFABB (more on that later).

While I was there I went to lunch with the amazing Katie Rosen Kitchens, Editor-in-Chief of FabFitFun and co-founder of the site alongside Giuliana. (Why I did not take a million selfies of us and copious photos of the fabulous sushi we consumed I have no idea. I blame my post flight zombie brain.)

During our chat, Katie clued me in to some of the fab items going into the much anticipated summer box! My lips are sealed until summer time, but trust me, it’s good stuff. If you want to get all up in the summer goodies, be sure to sign up and secure your box!

But first, let’s talk about the springtime goods:

The Better Chip Spinach & Kale Chips

Ok, hear me out on this. I know at first glance Spinach & Kale chips might seem weird, but seriously these are DELISH. They taste like healthy Fritos or something. Satisfying salty crunch without all the extra fat! I bought another bag immediately. Yum.

Cult Gaia Head Turbands

Cult Gaia is an off kilter, whimsical brand that celebrates the exploration of fantasy, fun, and everyone’s inner rebellious charm. These turbands are the perfect hair accessory – especially for festival season! Just ask Rachel Zoe.

Kai Perfume Oil

Kai’s intoxicating perfume oil fragrance is made with essential oils in a convenient and easy to use roll-on vial. It smells like gardenias and happiness. And it’s small enough to stash in your bag and keep with you at all times!

Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo

I’m a hard sell when it comes to dry shampoo because I already have my favorites. I was pleasantly surprised with this one though! It won me over with the fresh lemony scent and the fact that there is zero trace of white residue when using it. It absorbs oil, cleanses without water, and adds volume just like the bottle claims it will! Love.

Merrithew Mini Stability Ball and DVD

I use these mini balls in my workout classes (when I actually go… eek) and I love them. I’m loving having one that I can use at home and take with me on the go, too! The DVD from the Merrithew Health & Fitness team is great too. Just pop it in and breathe out all the tension while building core stability and creating better posture.

Cover FX SPF 30 Protection Primer

THIS. This, you need. This water-resistant makeup primer features SPF 30 to make sure that you save that skin. The hydrating, smoothing formula makes blending a breeze and extends makeup wear so you won’t have to reapply!

Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt

Dermasuri’s Deep Exfoliating Mitt buffs away dead skin cells to reveal beautiful glowing skin for spring. Forget those expensive spa treatments and give yourself a little DIY exfoliation at home!

Level Shower Bombs

Seriously this is one of those things that I didn’t know I needed, but now that I know it exists I feel like I can’t live without it. Drop one in the bottom of your shower and breathe in the soothing scents of organic menthol and eucalyptus. Total at-home spa experience. Mmm.

So, that’s the scoop on the spring box. Total win. Ready to sign up for summer? Use code SUMMER5 and save five bucks. You’re welcome!

And don’t forget! FabFitFun, Always and I are hosting a sweet Twitter party tomorrow night at 8 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. PDT! There will be tips from yours truly and giveaways galore. Don’t forget to follow me and RSVP! Hope to see you there! :)

Obsession of the Day: Custom Reeboks

Custom Sneakers

How would you like to design your own pair of stylish kicks?! Now you can, with Reebok’s new YourReebok interactive sneaker designer.

Everything is completely customizable – and you have control over the type of shoe, materials, and colors of everything from the sole to the laces. You can even add extra personalization like your name!

My friends at People StyleWatch Magazine hooked me up so I could try it out for myself. I started from scratch and selected the RealFit Scream 2.0, a running shoe, as my blank canvas. I had an absolute blast designing my shoes… and went a little crazy with the colors. Go big or go home though, right?

I LOVE my new Reeboks and I can’t wait to wear them to the gym! If you would like to get a pair yourself, check out the site and start designing! But beware, it’s kind of addicting. ;)

Obsession of the Day: Luka Mineral Cosmetics Lipstick in Brava

I was first introduced to Luka Mineral Cosmetics when I attended the Luka Cosmetics Makeup & Lash Bar grand opening event last week. (Which was super fun and included lots of yummy pink cocktails that I will be blogging about soon!)

I scooped up a tube of the Luka lipstick in Brava while I was there and fell in LOVE. It is a beautiful, bright true red in a a smooth, creamy, long-lasting formula infused with Vitamin E and Jojoba. I’m wearing it in the photo above. This lipstick is legit – and delivers the perfect balance of hydration and color.

I was also very impressed with their collection of highly pigmented foundations and concealers. They all have cheeky names like “Pack Your Bags” for the concealer. Total added bonus.

For more information on the products, check out If you live in my neck of the woods (SoFla represent), check out for deets on services offered at the new Palm Beach Gardens makeup studio. I plan to check it out again soon and give you all the full scoop, so stay tuned. I have a feeling this will not be the last you hear from me about Luka! :)

Obsession of the Day: Lashmopolitan Mink False Strip Lashes by Esqido

Anything that sounds like Cosmopolitan is ok in my book!

This set of ESQIDO false eyelashes is not just a cutesy name though – these babies mean business! Each lash is equipped with a sturdy, handcrafted cotton band. The high quality mink lashes feature flirty criss-cross strands that start at the inner corner of the eye. The strands gradually become more dense and finish with a long, sexy winged out effect at the outer corner of the eyes. The shape is really unique. They are super voluminous and flattering and I love love love them. High drama (the good kind) and really fun!

The best part? Unlike most disposable falsies, you can wear this kind up to 25 times.

I also like Esqido’s Little Black Lash set if you’re going for a more natural look. But let’s get real, I’d rather order up a Lashmopolitan. Cheers!

Obsession of the Day: Cream Whip

I am loving the latest from my favorite hair brand, ARROJO! (You may remember me mentioning the man behind the brand and my favorite haircut once or twice.)

Using anti-oxidizing Vitamin E, the new Cream Whip is a product perfect for prepping locks for styling. It’s a conditioning treatment and styling product that looks like a mousse and acts like a magical moisturizing serum. Just apply to damp hair, comb through and style as usual!

With conditioning benefits, it adds moisture and silkiness, and frees tangles so hair is easier to brush and comb. It also enhances waves and soft movement without adding hold or stickiness.

It’s like one of those products you didn’t realize that you needed, but can’t live without once you’ve tried it. I have been using it regularly before blowing my hair out and I’ve never recieved so many compliments on my hair! This one’s a definite keeper. And it smells like heaven, too. Love!

Obsession of the Day: AJ Crimson Creme Foundation

I’m a hard nut to crack when it comes to foundation. I branch out for certain occasions, but I usually prefer to work with cream foundations, both for personal and professional use. I like that they are easier to customize and generally they stay on longer than other types thanks to the high pigment content.

I easily fall in love with other types of cosmetics (lipstick and eyeshadow especially), but foundation has to pass a series of tests. Sometimes I’ll like the shade and the texture, but the formula will break me out. Sometimes I’ll really like the consistency, but the shade is off. Sometimes the shade is spot on, but it doesn’t blend easily. It’s a tricky situation and I have pretty high standards. And I’m super picky about the pigment to vehicle ratio. Yes, I just said that.

With that said, I’m pleased to announce that AJ Crimson’s Creme Foundation passed all of my tests! I love it. I have been wearing shade #1 and by some miracle of the makeup world, it matches my skin perfectly! I LOVE that the masterminds in AJ Crimson’s lab thought to include colors for both the really light (#PaleGirlProblems) and colors for really dark toned skin too.

For those of you who are familiar with cream bases, AJ Crimson’s foundation is like Joe Blasco Studio Base and Mehron Celebre HD had a baby. It melts into the skin providing a flawless finish with buildable coverage.

If I ever meet AJ at a beauty event I’m going to give him a great big hug.

Obsession of the Day: Gwen Stefani for OPI Nail Lacquer Collection

The nail polish masters at OPI recently released a collection with my favorite person ever, Gwen Stefani. I have adored her since about the 4th grade when I first discovered No Doubt. (Tragic Kingdom was literally the first album I ever purchased – and to this day it’s one of my favorites. I still belt a mean “Just a Girl” in the shower.)

She exudes beauty and awesomeness in addition to being a major player in both the music industry and the fashion world, so she’s an obvious choice for this sort of collaboration.

The collection features seven new limited edition nail lacquers for 2014, featuring standout color in breakthrough finishes. Highlights from the collection include a bold red lacquer that pays homage to Gwen’s signature lipstick, a new semi-matte satin finish in shades of gold and black, and a mirrored chrome paired with a special base coat. The collection also features an assortment of minis to try before you buy the full size lacquers.

Inspired by the 2013 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala that featured the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann decided to create a collection of lacquer celebrating the role of music as a major influence in fashion. I LOVE it. See below for the shades!
