I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I adore Kate Winslet.

I loved her as Rose, I loved her as Clementine, I love her as Kate.

I think she exudes class and always kills it on the red carpet. Tonight’s Golden Globes were no exception as she stunned to the extreme before taking home her trophy per usual.

Naturally, I had to get the scoop on her beauty look. Insanely talented celeb stylist Renato Campora dolled her up tonight and shared his hairstyling secrets for getting the look.

“Tonight’s look was all about showing off the neckline of Kate’s beautiful Ralph Lauren gown,” he said. “The silhouette is long and feminine and so we wanted to keep the neck free and create a soft and feminine updo with an asymmetrical twist.”

Want to copy this look? Here’s how Renato did it:

  • On wet hair, he applied the Fekkai Blowout Sealing Serum to her ends to keep manageability and sleekness for styling.
  • Second, he applied Fekkai Full Blown Volume Lightweight Styling Whip all over the hair to create a great foundation to maintain volume throughout the night.
  • Next, he blew out the hair with a round brush to boost shine and volume, smoothing the hair in preparation for hot tools. He then used a 1-inch curling iron all over, making sure to keep curls loose and chic, not too severe and “done.” He let the curls set for ten minutes, and then brushed them out spritzing a bit of Fekkai Blowout Hair Refresher Dry Shampoo throughout for added texture.
  • Next, he braided the tail of the hair as an aid to keep hair together to roll under at the nape of the neck. He then pinned to the side into a bun, using three long bobby pins to hold in place. It looks almost like a faux bob, and there’s no elastic! To finish, he sprayed Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray all over to maintain the look for the night ahead.

The end result was perfect for Kate – sophisticated, elegant and chic!
