The makeup looks at New York Fashion Week ranged from barely there to overloaded. Backstage at Badgley Mischka though, the makeup team struck the perfect balance. The simple yet effective makeup design, executed by the stellar MAC Cosmetics crew lead by makeup icon Tom Pecheux, shined in the spotlight. Tom created a fresh look he described as “youthful and natural, but colorful.” It was all about that dewy, perfectly strobed and balanced complexion with a power pop of color on the lips.
Here’s how he did it:
Step 1: Massage Studio Moisture Cream into skin to hydrate, soften and prepare.
Step 2: Blend Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation over the face to even and tone, using the 168 Large Angled Contour Brush
Step 3: Appy Climax Pro Sculpting Crème (available spring/summer 2016) over the upper cheekbones to highlight.
Step 4: Blend Crevasse Pro Sculpting Crème (available spring/summer 2016) under the cheekbones to contour.
Step 5: Curl lashes with the Full Lash Curler to lift and open the eyes.
Step 6: Blend Crevasse Pro Sculpting Crème over the eyelid with Joy Toy Foiled Shadow (both available spring/summer 2016).
Step 7: Apply Peach Strobe Cream Shade Extension (available winter 2016) over the eye for added dimension and shine.
Step 8: Apply Climax Pro Sculpting Crème (available spring/summer 2016) just beneath the brow to accentuate.
Step 9: Fill in brows as needed and define with eye shadow to perfect.
Step 10: Mix Rich & Restless and To Matte with Love MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor (available spring 2016) together and apply over the lips to finish.
